Burger Mania

Thursday June 18, 2009
Think you’ve got a burger that can tangle with some of the best the city has to offer? Prove it.

Sel de la Terre is hosting a burger battle this month. The Long Wharf location is asking the public to send in their best recipe to celebrate the beginning of grilling season. Restaurant chefs will decide which recipes are the top three submissions, then on July 5, the winners will have the chance to create their burger masterpieces, then serve them in the restaurant.

The best part – aside from actually being one of the chosen recipes – is that diners can sample each of the submissions as sliders for just $5. See web site for competition rules and how to enter.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I may have to go and perfect my turkey burgers stuffed with brie.
