Sand Dandy
Friday July 17, 2009
You might find a sand castle or two at the New England Sand Sculpting Festival, but they definitely will be unlike anything you see on any other average weekend at the beach.
This nationally-renowned event, held this weekend at Revere Beach, features the world’s top sand sculptors, exhibiting their amazing craft. Each is armed with little but 10 tons of sand and water and put to work. The intricacies and scope of each finished design is indeed a sight to behold, as is witnessing the process of these artists at work.
The event, which attracts some 250,000 people each year, is free to the public.
