Get up close and personal with some harbor and fur seals at New England Aquarium’s new Marine Mammal Center. The exhibit aims to “draw connections between marine mammals and humans and learn about the challenges marine mammals face in our oceans today.”

The $10 million exhibit, sponsored by the New Balance Foundation, has another objective as well: Using the seals’ athleticism to teach kids about the benefits of an active lifestyle. “Move It!” includes a number of “seal” activities that kids can do at home, including swimming, dancing, jumping, and spinning.

You can learn more about the seals and their environment at the Marine Mammals Trainers Blog.
