Crews and Crowds: Head of the Charles Regatta Begins Next Weekend

While the Head of the Charles Regatta can be a nuisance for many Boston residents facing crowds and road closures, this annual two-day occasion, which take place next weekend, is undeniably one of Boston's most definitive events.

Now in its 45th year, the Head of the Charles attracts most of the top crews from colleges, high schools, and clubs worldwide, as well as some 300,000 spectators who will enjoy 55 different events, all taking place amidst the unmistakable beauty of foliage season along the shore of the Charles River. It has become a tradition that helps define the fall season in Boston.
