For decades, the most popular ghosts in Boston were the ones presumed to be living in Fenway Park, where the Red Sox were haunted for 86 years without a World Series title.
As it turns out, the city has a much more haunted past, one which Haunted Boston Ghost Tours shows off with its nightly tours. Join one of their tour guides at Boston Common for a walking journey through some of Boston's historic and haunted streets, and be on the lookout for any ghosts which may inhabit them.
The tour ($18 for adults) runs from April-November, but is most popular in October for obvious reasons. Reservations are required, and since the tour is really more about history than it is about goblins and the like, it's a family-friendly outing. Tours begin at 8 p.m., rain or shine.
While you're at it, be sure to check out some of the other Halloween events in the city this month.
