Good news for local Muggles. Due to its overwhelming popularity, Boston's Museum of Science announced today that it is extending the run of "Harry Potter: The Exhibition" by one week, now ending on Feb. 28.

"Harry Potter: The Exhibition is full of such remarkable artistry and detail, new visitors will be inspired by the creativity that went into bringing a magical world to life, and returning fans will enjoy catching elements that they may have missed the first time," museum director Ioannis Miaoulis said.

The exhibit (which, admittedly stretches the clarification of science) has attracted thousands of fans since opening last October, offering a glimpse of costumes, props, and more than 200 other authentic artifacts from the film sets--including the Great Hall, Hagrid's hut, and the Gryffindor common room.

Next month, the museum will provide special hours for the exhibit during both Massachusetts (Feb 15-19) and New Hampshire (22-26) school vacation weeks. See web site for details. Tickets run $26 for adults and $23 for children (ages 3-11).
