So, Shaq thinks the New England accent is "sexy." That's a new one.
The Celtics introduced their new big man, Shaquille O'Neal, at a press conference in Waltham today, and as expected it had its entertaining moments. Shaq, clad in a bow-toe, was asked about his recent interview with Vanity Fair, in which he said that his kids would get grounded if they came home with Boston accents. "I'll do whatever it takes," he said.
Well, Shaq backed off those comments a bit today, calling the accent, "sexy."
Sexy? Whatevah.
In any case, O'Neal has made the most of his first day in Massachusetts, taking in the scene (he was even spotted at the Burlington Mall, where he posed with some fans). Who knows, maybe that potential clam chowder contest he spoke of vs. Glen "Big Baby" Davis will take place somewhere this evening.
