The good news is that sunny skies should return to Boston tomorrow, with highs forecasted in the lower 80's, and the weekend looks picture-perfect.
Until then however, today's final batch of wet weather is causing a ruckus in the area, causing floods on various roadways and at Logan Airport.
There are numerous reports this afternoon of flooding, including parts of Storrow Drive, according to Boston.com, that have been closed since this morning's downpours whipped through town. The site also reported that a woman had to be rescued from her vehicle in on Route 1A in East Boston after water trapped her inside. The rain has also caused traffic issues in Watertown, Chelsea, and Somerville.
Despite today's headaches, few - aside from some motorists - seem to be complaining in a region where we desperately needed precipitation. After spending much of the summer in a dry spell, the Boston area has seen 3.54 inches of rain from this week's Nor'easter alone, according to the Blue Hills Observatory.
