Bye, summer. You were fun while you lasted.
We've still got some steamy days - and quite possibly a hurricane - to deal with still, but with the dawn of September, we grow closer to fall, perhaps the season that best defines New England thanks to the kaleidoscope of color that bursts upon the landscape each year.
Boston's foliage won't be at its peak for another few weeks. But the events calendar is otherwise loaded with beer festivals, the return of college football (not to mention the Patriots) and New England's largest bike festival.
