Emerson's Lip Dub Tribute to Lady Gaga Goes Viral

Just weeks after a local student created the viral "Northeastern State of Mind," a host of Emerson College students have created the latest web video that has people talking. The nine-minute clip features hundreds of students lip synching to a medley of Lady Gaga tunes. It's pretty creative stuff.

The "lip dub" video was filmed last month as part of the college's EVVY Awards, but there's also another goal - getting the superstar's attention.

"Lady Gaga does retweet a lot from fans," producer Maytal Zchut told The Berkeley Beacon, the student newspaper of Emerson last month. "If we get as many hits on YouTube as this school in Canada that filmed a lip dub, we can get her to retweet it."

So far, all is quiet from Gaga's Twitter feed, but Emerson has been a trending topic for the past two days, lasting even longer than Carl Crawford.

You can watch the clip here.
