Saturday is National Get Outdoors Day, which means free admission to all 397 National Parks across America.
Massachusetts alone boats 15 National Parks, some which don't charge admission all year long, but this is a great way to take advantage of some that do, including the Cape Cod National Seashore and the Adams National Historic Park. In fact, according to the National Park Service, 264 of the parks never charge a fee.
This is one of five instances on the calendar when the National Park Service provides free entry, so it's a great way to kick off the summer season. If you're hoping to stick around Boston though, here are eight local National Park sites to visit in the area.
