Labor Day Weekend Events
The Student Invasion may be in full swing, but these area events promise to make it an exciting Labor Day Weekend.
- Red Sox
The Red Sox hit the stretch run as they seek the AL wild card with home series against Baltimore (Sept. 8-9), Tampa Bay (Sept. 11-13), the Los Angeles Angels (Sept. 15-17), and Toronto (Sept. 28-30). Click for ticket information.
- College Football
While you might have some difficulty finding tickets to see the Patriots in Foxboro, there are plenty of options for football at the college level. The Boston College Eagles open the season with home showdowns vs. cross-town Northeastern (Sept. 5), Kent State (Sept. 12), and Wake Forest (Sept. 26). The follow their BC matchup by hosting the University of Maine (Sept. 12) and Youngstown State (Sept. 19). The begin its 2009 home schedule on Sept. 25 by hosting Ivy League rival Brown University.
- Boston Arts Festival

Now in its seventh year, the Boston Arts (or, ahts) Festival features the best of the Boston arts scene over a three-day event at Christopher Columbus Park. The festival includes both visual and performing arts.
- Boston Folk Festival

Artists slated to appear at this UMass Boston event include Dar Williams, Jill Sobule, Tripping Lilly, Michael Tarbox, and more.
- Samuel Adams OctoberFest
