January is Super Hunger Month, featuring a variety of fundraisers to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank, including the Super Hunger Brunch, an online auction, and the Super Hunger Chef Challenge.
Super Hunger Brunch
Nearly 30 of Boston's top restaurants support the Greater Boston Food Bank through the annual Super Hunger Brunch. On Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27, 2008, from 11 am to 2 pm participating restaurants will donate the proceeds from special prix fixe brunch menus to the food bank. Menus are priced at $25, $35, or $50 per person, depending on the restaurant.Participating restaurants are Appetito, Bistro 712, Blue Ginger, Casa Romero, Caliterra, Chez Henri, Clink, Davio's, Eastern Standard Kitchen, Elephant Walk, EVOO, The Fireplace, The Grapevine, Great Bay, Grill 23 & Bar, Icarus, Jasper white's Summer Shack, Kingfish Hall, La Mora, L'Espalier, Laurel Bar & Grill, Mare, Pigalle, Rialto, Rocca, Sel de la Terre, Sibling Rivalry, Tosca, and VOX Populi.

Greater Boston Food Bank Online Auction
Another way to fight hunger in January is through the Greater Boston Food Bank's Online Auction, which runs Thursday, January 17 to Sunday, January 27, 2008. You can bid on a variety of culinary-themed items and packages, such as a Food & Wine Festival weekend at Foxwoods, Phantom Gourmet Live showing for four with complimentary dinner, Blue Ginger package, and more.
