There are always plenty of parties, plays, festivals, and more focusing on Christmas in Boston—but what if you don't celebrate Christmas? Well believe it or not, if you're Jewish, one of the best parties of the year happens on Christmas Eve: the Matzo Ball.
The annual Matzo Ball is a party sponsored by the Society of Young Jewish Professionals, the nation's largest membership organization for Jewish professionals, ages 21-49.
From its small start in a Boston bar, the Matzo Ball has expanded to cities across America as a popular holiday party for Jewish singles on Christmas Eve. It's a chance to dress in your best, make new friends, or meet someone special. The event, hosted at a popular local club, features drinks, appetizers, socializing, music, and dancing.
The Matzo Ball is intended as an event for Jewish singles, particularly young professionals, but couples and people of other faiths are also welcome.
