  • MFA Memorial Day Open House
    If you are lucky enough to have Monday off, go explore Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, which offers free general admission to everyone on Memorial Day. In addition to the usual exhibits, the museum will provide music, activities, and film screenings.

  • Cedar Grove Cemetery Memorial Day Ceremony
    Cedar Grove Cemetery hosts its annual Memorial Day ceremony, honoring military personnel both living and deceased. The seven Dorchester AMVETS, VFW, and American Legion Posts parade into the cemetery in full formation and place memorial wreaths, play taps, fire a 21-gun salute, and listen to patriotic music. The event draws hundreds of people and often features speeches by political and military leaders.

  • Free Sailing Open House
