Renovated in 2002, the Tadpole Playground—adjacent to the Frog Pond—provides a safe place for Boston’s children to gather and play outdoors. The redesigned children’s area includes a new play structure, safety play surfacing, a water play spray fountain (excellent in the warm summer months), and original artwork, including mosaics by Lilli Ann and Marvin Rosenberg and bronze frog statues by David Phillips.

Next stop: Boston Common Visitor Information Center. Walk southeast down the path (away from Beacon Street) toward Tremont Street.
